My friend and I briefly met the Mayor’s acquaintance in Doyle’s in JP, we were sitting in the stools at the left side of the bar, interestingly enough, there is a picture of him above the stools with him sitting in one of the ones we were sitting in. We caught him on his way out for a handshake and a hello. A weird coincidental moment, and he was happy to stop for a quick handshake.
I greatly appreciated his leadership and presence during the 2013 Marathon bombing investigation. He could have easily stayed in for that one, but he stepped up to lead during a sad, confusing time.
