I will miss you Sir. You made me proud to call you a friend. I always felt my home and city was well protected while you were on watch. I have had many conversations with the Mayor but the one I will always keep close to my heart was when I was told “keep your head up you will do good I know you will”. Thank you Sir because I did.
Thank you Lord and the Menino Family for giving Boston a great man.
    God Bless Everyone

As someone who is interested in public policy, Tom Menino serves as a role model to me. He was pragmatic but for all the right reasons. Instead of being motivated by his own interests, his priority was always the people. We’ve lost a truly good person.

Thank-you for making Boston a world class city in addition to always keeping the regular people front and center. I met Mayor Menino and Mrs. Menino many times. I remember calling him once when he was my city counselor and he actually answered his own phone! Was at his last victory party night and it was so exciting. You were a blessing for Boston.
